Bite the ball, snatch the game !

This post is dedicated to Shahid Afridi, the pakistani cricketer.He has been in news always for some reason or the other.Here's one imaginary episode. This takes place after a cricket match involving Pakistan is over and the presentation ceremony is in progress. Ravi Shastri is the host for the prize distribution ceremony.

Shastri : Now, I would like to call upon Inzamam-ul-Haq, the Pakistani captain.

Inzamam : Chalte hain (murmurs!)

Shastri : Inzi... congratulations, pakistan did well upto expectations.

Inzamam : Bismillah-e-rehman-e-rahim ... Haan ji.. Yes, we did well.

Shastri : You must be very pleased with your performance.

Inzamam: Insha-Allah.. yes, but all the credit goes to the boys, they played very well.

Shastri : Any one you would like to single out.

Inzamam : Especially Afridi, he played really well. Credit to him.

Shastri : Congrats again!!

Inzamam : Thank you Ji !

Shastri : On a lighter vein, Inzi, we heard you are going to be a father again ? :)

Inzamam : (Blushing) Insha-allah yes..we are very happy at home.

Shastri : (Winks) Again a job well done !! :)

Inzamam : Again, insha-allah all the credit goes to the Boys, especially Afridi !

Shastri faints !!

That was imaginary, this is real. Afridi has had a bite at the cricket ball. May be he was trying to force some result, but the episode was hilarious. This is what Afridi had to say : "I shouldn't have done it. It just happened. I was trying to help my bowlers and win a match, one match," he pleaded to Geo TV, a Pakistan-based news channel. "There is no team in the world that doesn't tamper with the ball. My methods were wrong. I am embarrassed, I shouldn't have done it. I just wanted to win us a game but this was the wrong way to do it." This adds to the long list of turmoil with Pakistan's cricket right now. They need to put their house in order.
